Meet Solomon Gobba.
Solomon Gobba is a father, friend and husband with an enormous love for his family and great passion for healthcare, economic empowerment and corporate training. He is an affluent yet humble and pious young man from Uganda who always cuts his suit right. That is the manifestation of my future self.
I am currently a Biomedical Science student at Makerere University with a simple but very impactful story to tell. It is one that was birthed at Lira Central Primary School and bred somewhere in Kisubi and currently holding off at Makerere.
"Now is the best time to get that ripe mango," a slogan often referred to by Dr. Mich Egwang, a motivational speaker who has devoted his time to impacting lives still echoes in my ears just as it did back then. They were words that kick-started my transformation journey and a code that I followed through life.
I am a Member of The Secret Initiative. It is a program dedicated to grooming students in high school to become the best versions of themselves with a key objective of better placing them to secure government scholarship.
I graduated as a Gold Scholar in the Educate! Leadership and Entrepreneurship Course in 2016 after which in 2017, I qualified to serve as a Leadership and Entrepreneurship Mentor to over 150 students in 3 schools in Kampala.
I was also privileged to attend The Mentorship Class, an experience that changed my life both as a mentee and a mentor, where I was awarded a certificate of distinguished service by the US Ambassador to Uganda, Ambassador Deborah R. Malac and I now serve as a member of the Executive Committee for The Mentorship Class.
I have organized and attended numerous science workshops and health outreaches over the years that have not only impacted communities but also proven that better is possible.
I am a Rotaractor, a Gavelier and above all a believer in the goodness of mankind and the sovereignty of God.
